Lasalocid Sodium 200 g/kg

BOVATEC® contains lasalocid, an ionophore feed additive that improves the growth rate of cattle, regardless of season.1 BOVATEC® enhances rumen bacterial activity so cattle focus their energy on efficiently converting feed to gain.2

- Recommended for use in growing cattle and feed lot cattle for improved live weight gain and feed conversion efficiency;
- Recommended for use in dairy cows to improve feed efficiency and milk yield;
- Recommended for use in cattle, sheep and goats for prevention of coccidiosis;
- Recommended for use in sheep and goats to improve feed efficiency and live mass gain.

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS
BOVATEC® LIQUID PREMIX mixes readily with liquid feed preparations.- Agitate BOVATEC® LIQUID PREMIX before use.
- Supplements with suspending agents should be in a pH range of 4 – 8 and maintain a positional stability for up to 3 months, with a viscosity of not less than 300 cps.
- Conventional liquid supplements should be in a pH range of 4 - 8.
- Ten-minute recirculation required daily prior to use.
RATES OF ADMINISTRATION
BOVATEC® LIQUID PREMIX is for use in complete cattle feed, or supplements to a ration, given by continuous feeding.Mix BOVATEC® LIQUID PREMIX evenly into stock feed or milk replacer.
- GENERAL ADMINISTRATION RATE. (Pasture cattle and replacement beef and dairy heifers).
For improved live weight gain and feed conversion efficiency and for control of clinical signs of bovine and ovine coccidiosis, BOVATEC® LIQUID PREMIX is used continuously in the feed at mix rate of between 50 g and 300 g per ton of total feed (air dried basis).
Daily per head rate for cattle is from 0,4 g to 3 g BOVATEC® LIQUID PREMX.
Daily per head rate for sheep is from 0,1 g to 0,5 g BOVATEC® LIQUID PREMIX.
Preferred rate is 165 g per ton.
- ADMINISTRATION ACCORDING TO MANAGEMENT SITUATION
A. Total Mixed Rations (Complete Feeds).
Mix 165 g (0,165 kg) BOVATEC® LIQUID PREMIX in 1 ton (1 000 kg) of feed on a 100 % dry basis. This provides 33 mg lasalocid /kg (33 ppm) in the feed.
The following table provides a guide to quantities of feed required.

D. For control of the clinical signs of coccidiosis
In unweaned calves ensure adequate intake of lasalocid (greater than or equal to 1 mg / kg bodyweight daily) for 3 days prior to the coccidiosis challenge.
In milk or calf milk replacer mix BOVATEC® LIQUID PREMIX into solution at 10 g per 100 L. This provides 20 mg lasalocid / L of liquid feed.
Calves should not receive more than 5 L / head / day of milk or reconstituted milk powder medicated with BOVATEC® LIQUID PREMIX.
In complete feeds: Mix 165 g (0.165 kg) BOVATEC® LIQUID PREMIX in 1 ton (1 000 kg) of feed on a 100 % dry matter basis.

Disposal of unwanted chemical / container:
Triple rinse containers before disposal and add rinsings to the medicated feed or dispose of rinsate in disposal pit away from desirable plants and their roots.
BOVATEC® LIQUID PREMIX is toxic to fish and some aquatic invertebrates and should not be allowed to contaminate waterways.

Keep out of reach of children, animals and uninformed persons.Although this remedy has been tested under a large variety of conditions, failure thereof may ensue as a result of a wide range of reasons. If this is suspected, seek veterinary advice and advise the registration holder.
