  • Bovi-Shield GOLD One Shot is for vaccination of healthy cattle to prevent respiratory disease caused by infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) virus and viraemia caused by bovine virus diarrhoea (BVD) virus Types 1 and 2; and as an aid in preventing respiratory disease caused by BVD virus Types 1 and 2, parainfluenza3 (PI3) virus and bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV); and bovine pneumonia caused by Mannheimia haemolytica type A1.  A duration of immunity of at least 9 months has been demonstrated against IBR and BVD virus Types 1 and 2 respiratory disease.

  • Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter.

    Vaccinate healthy cattle only.

Do not mix vaccine with any other vaccine or medication.

    Consult your veterinarian.

Do not use in pregnant cows (abortions can result) unless they were vaccinated, according to label directions, with any Bovi-Shield GOLD® FP vaccine within the past 12 months.

Do not use in calves nursing pregnant cows unless their dams were vaccinated within the past 12 months as described above.

To help ensure safety in pregnant cattle, heifers must receive at least 2 doses of any Bovi-Shield GOLD FP with the second dose administered approximately 30 days prebreeding.

This product has been shown to be efficacious in healthy animals. A protective immune response may not be elicited if animals are incubating an infectious disease, are malnourished or parasitised, are stressed due to shipment or environmental conditions, are otherwise immunocompromised, or the vaccine is not administered in accordance with label directions.

    Contains gentamicin as a preservative.

Keep out of reach of children and uninformed persons.

Although this vaccine has been extensively tested under a large variety of conditions, failure thereof may ensue as a result of a wide range of reasons. If this is suspected, seek veterinary advice and notify the registration holder.

  • Use the entire contents when first opened.

Do not store for future use.

Sterilised syringes and needles should be used to administer the vaccine. Do not sterilise with chemicals because traces of disinfectant may inactivate the vaccine.

Dispose of all unused contents and containers and disposable vaccine equipment in accordance with national waste management regulations on waste disposal.

If vaccination results in anaphylaxis, initial antidote of adrenalin, or equivalent is recommended, and should be followed with appropriate supportive therapy.

In case of accidental self-injection, consult a medical doctor and make this label available to him/her.

  • Use only as directed.

Aseptically rehydrate the freeze-dried component with the sterile diluent provided, shake well, and administer 2 ml subcutaneously.

This product should be administered in the region of the neck.

    Primary Vaccination:

Administer a single 2 ml dose to healthy cattle.  To avoid possible maternal antibody interference with active immunisation, calves vaccinated before the age of 6 months should be revaccinated after 6 months of age or at weaning.

    Revaccination:

Annual revaccination with a single dose is recommended.

  • Store at 2-7 °C. Do not freeze.

  • Bovi-Shield GOLD One Shot is marketed in clear, sterile, sealed 50 dose vials packed into unit cartons.  Sterile diluent (100 ml vials) is also packed into the cartons.
