Enviracor™ J-5

Injectable Vaccine  

Each dose (5 ml) of Enviracor™ J-5 contains: inactivated Escherichia coli (J-5 mutant strain) min. 6 x 10⁹ cells, thimerosal 0,01 % v/v, oil adjuvant 26 % v/v, saline q.s. ad 5 ml.

Enviracor™ J-5 is used for the vaccination of healthy dairy cattle, including pregnant cows as an aid in preventing clinical coliform mastitis caused by E. coli.

Do not vaccinate within 60 days before slaughter.

Keep out of reach of children and uninformed persons.

Local swelling occasionally occurs and may persist at the site of injection.

As with most vaccines, anaphylactic reactions may occur after use. Immediate antidote of adrenaline is recommended and should be followed with appropriate supportive therapy.

For effective mastitis control this product should be used in conjunction with acceptable good management practices.

Although this vaccine has been tested extensively under a large variety of conditions, failure thereof may ensue as a result of a wide range of reasons. If this is suspected, seek veterinary advice and notify the registration holder.

Use entire contents when first opened.

Sterilised syringes and needles should be used to administer this vaccine.

Do not sterilise with chemicals because traces of disinfectants may inactivate the vaccine.

Use only as directed.

Shake well. Enviracor™ J-5 should be administered subcutaneously, one hand-width cranial to the shoulder, in a three-injection regimen: one 5 ml dose subcutaneously (SC) at drying off, one 5 ml dose SC 30 days later and one 5 ml dose SC at calving or within two weeks of calving. The program should be repeated annually.

Store at 2-7 °C. Do not freeze.

Enviracor™ J-5 is available as 250 ml (50 doses) and 100 ml (20 doses), in polyethylene serum bottles.
