Linco-Spectin ® (Premix)

Each kilogram contains lincomycin hydrochloride equivalent to lincomycin 22 g and spectinomycin sulphate equivalent to 22 g in a soybean millfeed carrier

Treatment and control of swine dysentery, salmonellosis (necrotic enteritis) and enteritis associated with E. coli and mycoplasmal pneumonia in growing swine. Controls early chick mortality associated with bacterial infection.

Pigs: For making medicated complete feed add 1 kg LINCO-SPECTIN PREMIX per metric ton of complete feed. The resulting medicated complete feed will contain 44 g of antibiotic activity per metric ton. This should be fed as the sole ration of growing swine.

Fowls: The dosage is 88 g combined antibiotic activity per 1 000 kg of feed for 21 consecutive days. This is equivalent to a daily dose of approximately 20 mg/kg body weight in the first few days of life, adjusting steadily down to approximately 10 mg/kg body weight at three weeks of age. This dose is achieved by the incorporation of 2 kg LINCO-SPECTIN PREMIX per 1 000 kg of feed.

Important: Must be thoroughly mixed in feeds before use. It is recommended that a medicated premix be first produced which is then blended into the batch of feed. This will ensure thorough mixing and even distribution of antibiotics throughout the batch of feed. Good manufacturing processes should be observed in preparing feeds containing LINCO-SPECTIN PREMIX.

Pigs: Withdraw the medication 24 hours prior to slaughter.

Fowls: Withdraw the medication 48 hours prior to slaughter.
